ROADMAP TO FINANCE APPLICATION
We understand that applying for a home loan can feel overwhelming — but you are not alone. At Fidelis Financial, we are with you every step of the way. Here is a clear breakdown of what to expect:
💬 Step 1:
Initial Chat with Your Broker
This is where your journey begins. We will have a friendly conversation to understand your needs, goals, and financial situation. Whether you are buying your first home, investing, or refinancing, we will explore the right strategies and options for you.
📝 Step 2:
Questionnaire & Document Upload
You will receive 2 emails with secure links:
Email 1 will request you to complete a short questionnaire
Email 2 will request you to upload supporting documents.
The sooner you complete this step, the sooner we can assess your position and begin preparing your application.
🤝 Step 3:
Loan Processor Assigned
A dedicated loan processor from our team will be assigned to your application. They will verify your documents, assist with any requests, and guide you through the preparation stage.
🔍 Step 4:
Broker Research & Credit Advice
Your broker will compare loan products across multiple lenders, taking into account your goals and preferences. They will prepare a formal Credit Proposal outlining their recommendations, which includes key loan features, rates, and lender comparisons.
If you are happy to proceed, you will review and sign this document to give us the go-ahead to submit your application.
✅ Step 5:
Application Submission
Once your documentation is in order and the Credit Proposal is accepted, we will lodge your application with the selected lender. Depending on your situation, this could be for a pre-approval (often used when you are still house hunting) or seeking formal approval, when you are buying a specific property or land, or refinancing your loan.
📩 Step 6: Outcome
The lender will assess your application and issue an outcome.
If your application is formally approved — great news! — We will guide you through the next steps toward settlement.
📞 Step 7:
Settlement Coordinator Assigned
Once approval is received, a settlement coordinator from our team will take over. They will work with your lender, solicitor or conveyancer, and ensure a smooth lead-up to settlement, keeping you updated throughout.
📃 Step 8:
Loan Documents & Insurance
Your loan documents will be issued by the lender. We will assist you in reviewing and signing them. At this stage, you may also need to arrange or update your insurance cover.
Your settlement coordinator will explain any insurance requirements, account setup instructions, and final settlement conditions.

🎉 Step 9:
Settlement Completed
Congratulations! Once settlement is completed and the funds are disbursed, we will notify you and confirm the details. You are officially ready to begin the next chapter of your property journey.
👤 Step 10:
Home Loan Account Manager Assigned
Our service continues even after settlement. A dedicated Home Loan Account Manager will be assigned to assist with any ongoing questions, changes, or support you may need regarding your loan moving forward.
🔐 Need Insurance? We’ve Got You Covered
As you move forward, you will likely need to arrange home insurance (or review an existing policy).
